The SIP 6" Swivel Head Metal Bandsaw is a powerful and accurate metal bandsaw machine ideal for cutting bar, tube and profile workpieces using a range of metal types. This includes mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and alloys.
SIP Metal-Cutting Bandsaws are highly efficient, easy to use and safely cut metal to a high standard, helping to avoid use of manual cutting operations. They are an essential machine for metal and engineering workshops.
Applications & uses: Ideal for metalwork and engineering workshop environments. Suitable for cutting mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and alloys. Cleanly cuts bar, tube and profile workpieces.
Features:
- HEAVY-DUTY CAST IRON BOW: The swivel head action allows cutting between ° and 45° without moving workpiece from the vice. This reduces material handling time and cutting area space needed to operate the saw. Fitted to a pressed steel base, this weighted machine provides a rigid cutting platform which helps to reduce vibration and increase cutting accuracy. Supplied with carbon steel blade. A manual blade tensioner ensures the blade cuts efficiently. Blade guard fitted with a safety interlock for user protection. Auto-stop cut function engages when the cutting process is complete.
- 3-SPEED BELT-DRIVEN TRANSMISSION: A 3-speed belt-driven transmission system allows blade speed to be adjusted for cutting a variety of materials.
- ADJUSTABLE CAST IRON VICE: Cast iron vice securely holds the workpiece for precise cutting, whilst a quick-release handle ensures material can be changed quickly.
- STAND OR BENCH-MOUNTABLE: Supplied with a stable and robust pressed steel stand so the saw can be bench-mounted for added flexibility.
- MITRE CUTTING FUNCTIONALITY: Enables quick angle adjustment for precise cutting of workpiece.
- ENHANCED SAFETY FEATURES: Interlocking switches prevent the saw running when the blade guard or belt pulley covers are opened. Adjustable blade covers limit exposure during cutting for greater user safety.
